Film producers in Hollywood are planning a sensational new version of action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1990 hit "Total Recall".
Bosses at Columbia Pictures secured the rights to the blockbuster earlier this year and " Equilibrium " writer Kurt Wimmer is working on a new script for the planned remake, reports contactmusic.com.
In the original, Schwarzenegger, who is now California governor, had played a man who believes he is a secret agent and is haunted by a recurring dream about travelling to Mars.
Executives describe the upcoming version as a "contemporised adaptation" but they are yet to announce the cast for the lead role.
